I started this tattoo here in Japan a few days ago. This is not the completed product. I have about 10 more hours to go. I know that there is no way to change it now, but I was just curious what other people thought of it. I wanted to get a Japanese style tattoo, and I am really satisfied with it so far. I brought in the design for the lotus flower and skull, and the artist freehanded the background. I was also thinking of coloring the lotus flower. It may look colored now from a distance, but those are actually a series of very fine lines. I like the idea of some color against a black and white background. Any ideas for color, or would it look better to keep it all B%26amp;W?

as for colors, it'll look cool if you added blue or red into the flowers
not a lot, just few lines or something
and if you added fine blue lines onto the other lines, that would be cool too

Reply:Dont just go black and White add some color. Like make the tat fade. Starting from the middle out, or from the side out. Well like a beam of light that fades as it goes farther. With whatever colors u like.

Reply:very nice i just got my first tat about a month and a half ago and got a second one about a week ago. so anyway that one is awesome. i love the traditional idea with a japanese theme. very nice. i can't imagine 10 hours though. man that would hurt. as soon as i get 18 i'm gonna try and get a sleeve on my leg of portriats of all my parrots i got one already and i wanna eventually get all 4.
