The remaining twelve lotuses were given to the venerable preceptor. tell the whole number of lotus flowers.

To find out the remaining fraction of the original lotuses:

1-1/3-1/5-1/6-1/4=1/20



Thus 1/20 of the original flowers is equal to 12 flowers

12*20=240 which is the total number of flowers
